The Journey Continues

We had a pretty productive weekend. We got some new products and have been testing them one by one. Some we've had success with, others not so much. I have noticed that Sarah is now very apprehensive about EVERYTHING she eats. She knows we have tricked her (or maybe I should say we have TRIED to trick her).

This weekend was (for the most part) a gluten free casein free weekend for Sarah. I should say that this weekend was also a weekend of very little food for Sarah. During the days, Sarah ate some little snacks (she loves dried cranberries). Sunday and Monday night Sarah ate sliced chicken with fresh greens. She really did great with the pancakes on Monday. Sean was away for the weekend, so he was really excited to come and try out her new foods. He frowned at most of the foods once he got a taste. By this morning, he was really frustrated (probably more of feeling sad for his little girl who is crying and just not happy at mealtime).

We had a few deliveries of food my mother and I ordered. It will take me a little time to try everything. Today I got my diet shopping guide and gfcf diet support books I ordered from gfcfdiet.com. WOW! There's a lot of information. I am sure the shopping guide will be my second Bible. It's small enough to fit into most of my handbags.

My girlfriend had a dream of talking to Sarah (I mean having a conversation with her). She comes from a family of dreamers - that is their thing. So we are calling this a premonition, a good sign and I am forging ahead with this diet. It hasn't even been a week and we are by no means totally gfcf free - YET. I am giving it a couple weeks for us to transition to the diet totally.

Talk about DISCIPLINE!

The scripture on Sarah's wall reads, "For with God all things are possible"
I believe that!
